People Helping People

People Helping People opened a Family Resource Center at Los Alamos School District in 1999 with initial funding from the California Department of Education. The mission of the Family Resource Center is to provide integrated and easily accessible health and social services to children and families in an effort to assist them with maximizing their potential in areas of health, education and family functioning.

The Family Resource Center is a partnership with People Helping People to provide direct and referral services to the children and their families. Together with the support and expertise of the Family Resource Center staff result in better service for our children and families.

The Los Alamos School District Family Resource Center is located at Olga Reed School in room 2. A part-time Family Services Coordinator is available to assist you and your family with a wide range of needs including basic needs, community resources and linkages, child development information, and access to health care services including dental to uninsured children.
